Swan in one of the canals in Keukenhof Gardens.
Not sure why, but that leg was constantly stretched out. Injured maybe?
Swans are viscous. I gave one, ONE, a morsel of my waffle. Around a dozen others came over, pressing against the wires the separated you from them. It was scary... :iconscaredplz:

Beautiful shot! Oh dear, and I thought it is troublesome to feed the ducks that come straught to my veranda several times a day :O today the male came at 6:45 am and demanded bread...

Thank you!
Yeah, ducks usually don't chase you. these buggers will, and will attack if given half the chance.

Np :) Unfortunately I never had the privilege to meet a swan yet, as I live pretty far north, but I have heard some terrifying stories about their behaviour. Just looking at them on pictures or from a short distance you see beautiful, graceful birds - it's an incredible contrast to their temper...

Ooo thank you so much for the support, it means the world!!! :faint:

Ah, Norway. Gotcha.
Indeed. My father, when he was, like, three years old, was given a bag of bread crusts and sent to feed the swans.
And that's how his deep-set hatred of swans began.

VE~ You're welcome!

A little too far north in Norway, that is, they probably have swans from the middle of the country and further south; not necessarily because of the climate (which is pretty regular except in the northernmost areas) but because we have a little unsuitable geographic (?) conditions for some birds. Swans prefer freshwater, right?

Ouch, I can understand that! Seems like feeding them is out of question when we'll go to Italy in summer :O

From what I know, yeah, they do.
I want to visit Norway someday...

Just stand far, far away and throw the food as hard as you can.

Yep, there is basically just sea water where I live. Perhaps it is a good thing, the mosquitoes are of a bearable number.
That's nice! I've always wanted to visit Canada :D The Canadian Nature is sooo beautiful...

Haha, all righty, I will do my best ^^;

Damn. We've got too many.
Don;t go to the forests and other wild areas during may-April-early June area; it's black-fly season.
But the beauty depends on where you are; most images come from the Rockies, on the Pacific side of Canada.
The east coast is quite nice, however.

Good luck!
